Anyone know if 97's are prone to heat issues ? (Generally speaking)

Yep my 98 does its not really a prob just not great heat not sure why a friend had one heat worked enough to not freeze ur nards but you weren't sweating in it mine needs a thermostat but the bolts are rounded off:\

In my experience the quick answer is no they do not. If the engine is getting warm (gauge goes up to somewhere less than halfway); but, the cab is not, you have one of two problems. No coolant circulating through the heater core or the blend door (it controls the temp of the air coming into the cab) is stuck on the cold/cool side.

Add: The blend door is moved my cable when you rotate the temp control on the dash.
