97 ranger 4x4 swap 97 mercury mountaineer help

I have a 97 ford ranger 4.0 efi 4x4 and a 97 mountaineer 5.0 awd I was just wonting to know if the wiring is like using the explorer are if there anything I need to look at on the mountaineer to make sure if its going swap out this is my first time swapping a 5.0 in a ranger just looking for little bit of help on it so I'll know what need to be looking for
