Ok. Well in the never ending saga of my truck something is always going wrong. lol. I had it at my mechanic back in August to get the tranny flushed and the tensioner replaced. Well he checked the plugs and the one for the number 6 cylinder was fouled out. They cleaned them up and that helped for a bit. I finally done my plugs last weekend and noticed that particular plug was fouled out again. So i took the truck to Auto Zone had them scan it just so i could get an idea of what was the potential problem. So i get the answers of a cylinder 6 misfire and an EGR issue. I ran by my mechanics the other day and he like me is thinking it's a fuel injector causing the plug to foul out. So what i'm wondering is everyone elses take on what the issue could be. My dad is thinking it's the timing or something in the computer though from what i understand the timing can't be adjusted.
I replaced the ignition coil and plug wires a year ago. Just put new plugs in last week replacing the year old plugs. All the plugs were fine except the number 6 cylinder.
So if anybody has ideas i'm open to them. I really want to fix this issue so my mileage gos up atleast some. I just got the 31's on there with the 2 inch spacers and 2 inch lift blocks in the rear, i ain't giving up on her. Not to to mention she just hit 127,000 miles this week, so she has life left in her.
