97 2wd leveling kit?

Take a tape measure and measure from the ground to the bottom of your fenders front and rear, whatever the difference is is obviously what you'll want for a spacer.

Mind you, to achieve 1" of lift in the front the spacer itself won't be 1" thick. Mabey 1/2" or so. The spacer/lift ratio is about 2 to 1.

As for tires, like previously mentioned a 235 75 15 will probably be your best bet. It's about 29".

Yeahhh. I assume you mean like I could run smaller tires but have like big bulky treads and have the same look? I never thought of that but seems like a good idea lol. I looking for pictures right now, but I don't really see any. Could you maybe put some links? Thank ya! On the topic of springs. I read in one post that supposedly I could steal the springs off of an F-150 from around the same year? If that's the case, we have an old f250 that's a 98. I don't know if those would work or not

You don't want F-250 springs unless you like a real rough ride.

Sweet. I didn't know that. So what about springs themselves? Is there a similar way to see how much of a taller spring I would need?

You don't want F-250 springs unless you like a real rough ride.

Unless your springs are completely shot I would just suggest just adding the spacers. They're less than half the cost of lift springs, and do the same job.

If your dead set on doing the springs, just google "199x 2wd ranger lift springs" and I'm sure there will be all sorts of results to websites where they're available for purchase.

You might want to research spring rates, or at least buy the aftermarket springs clearly listed as being for whatever engine you have. Buying 1" longer springs for a 4cyl truck if you have a 6cyl may not net you any lift because the springs are too soft and they'll just sag. Buying springs for a v6 if you have a 4cyl would probably net you more lift than advertised.. But have the downside of riding a whole lot stiffer.

Ok. I'm looking at spacers. My dad said they might not be as good because they don't hold the spring properly or something like that ??? Idk if that's true it don't seem like its true but idrk that's why I'm looking lol

As long as you get some clearly advertised for rangers you'll be fine.
