97 2.3 lima Stock obd 2 turbo build

just what the regulator is doing normally it won't care, you could get by with a little extra pressure without an issue, probably best to go with one of the pumps Eric and 85 got recently...

Haven't been around much lately, have not seen those guys new toys.

Since I'm putting a cell in the 96 Im gonna go with an in-line walbro gsl393. Should be more pump than I'll ever need for that thing.. moves close to 35gph at 50ish psi.

Yeah, that.

We use the GSL392's at work, they will definitely support power, we use them on marine engines up to 500hp... One of these days I need to put a fuel pressure tester on my '90 and see if the stock replacement Delphi pump I put in there a decade ago is actually keeping up... it runs fine just never bothered to check...

Whoop.. my mistake.. I shall edit that post for clarity.

As far as increasing the pressure.. how long would a stock pump be happy having to push extra psi?
that is a good question , as far as i know my 97 has a 96 pump in it and should probably be freshen up for this endeavor.

You mean HIGH impedance, low is the peak and hold style like the original turbo Lima's, everything modern (for the most part) is high impedance...

Stock the fuel pressure regulator is vacuum referenced, that will increase the pressure with increased manifold pressure which maintains the injector tip delta pressure IE increases the fuel pressure to help with the duty cycle...
so switching to a manually controlled regulator may help? mines is probbaly stock from 96.

Yes that would help most likely, most of the fancy ones (Aeromotive or copies) are adjustable and maintain the manifold reference line, unless they make an adjustable drop in regulator in which case that would be nifty...
