96 XLT 5.0 swap help!

Okay so I have a 96 ranger 4X4 5spd and I want to do a 5.0 swap. What is the best fitting engine I should look for and what problems will I run into? Can I use my trans I already have, will the engine mount up without any fabrication, are there kits for a V8 swap... Any information will help. This is my first project so bear with me
