I got a killer deal on a 1996 Ranger 2WD (2.3 engine). It's straight as a pin, runs, but needs some TLC.
The tranny is making some interesting noises. At 200k+ miles, I'm just going to overhaul the whole smash. I thought I'd ask if anyone has any tips before I dive into it.
I think it's a 4R44E.
I'm old school C4/C6 and never messed with these electronic jobs. It looks pretty straight forward though.
