96 merc tracer seats into 85?

Well havent been around here for a while due to no internet- posting this from a friends computer. anyways heres my question.... Im looking into swaping some new seats in replace of my broken, worn out bench seat in the old 85. I got the correct tracks and have read what seats will fit. Question is, is a 96 mercury tracer(car) the same as a tempo/topaz? im able to snag up the seats for real cheep and there in great condition. Thanx in advance!!!!!

from my knowledge the tracer was the mercury version of the escort. so to answer your question, no, the tracer is not the same thing as the tempo/topaz.

the tracer is basically an escort,the seats-try them on youre tracks,i hear they work well.
