Hey guys I need help. I recently purchaced a 1996 f250 crew cab with a fuel injected 460 and my check engine light came on. I took it to autozone and used the odb2 code reader wich told me that engine bank 1 and 2 are both running lean, so I asked the man what needs to be done and they said that it was either the mass air flow sensor or the oxygen sensor.
I ended up replacing the MAF and two of the three 02 sensors (California emissions) and the light came back on again! What else can it be? When I replaced the 02 sensors, I noticed a real difference in power and my passing gear was awesome! Then, about 130 miles later, the power is lacking and there is a whistle coming from what i thought was my K&N setup but its all tight.
any thoughts or suggestions?
thanks,
chaz
