96 4.0L tt help and info needed

Would injectors off a 95 probe gt work (2.5L Quad cam V6)?? I have one of those out back I can grab those injectors if they'll work...
SVT

I'm sure they would function, but they are probably a bit small. I'm guessing you want 24 lb injectors at a bare minimum, with about 35 lb being ideal.

Thats what I was getting at, what size were they, I didn't know, and am hunting for all vehicles that would make a good donor...Thanks
SVT

I'll start with those, they're a dime a dozen for me...would I have to get a calibrated MAF to match the injectors??

Dont mess around with the td04h turbo. It is not a "50-trim" sized turbo. Its quite small even for a 4 cylinder and isnt capable of much flow. They are only found on 1g automatic DSMs, the manuals had bigger turbos. I'd go with something bigger...

The IHI turbo off of the tbirds are crap. They will explode at anything over 12psi. You would be better off look up some nissan sr20 or ca18 turbos. They would be perfect if you ran two of them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SR20DET garret t25 turbo, there are also a few that are a bit smaller you can get these for dirt cheap on ebay. Use a 2.5" exhaust pipe coming off of each turbo. The bad thing about two turbos is that you have to buy 2 of everything, oil lines, wastegates, vacum line. If you are set on two turbos use two t3 .60/60 turbos off of the mustang svt. For a single turbo use something like this http://www.nipponpower.com/product.phtml?p=823

As long as there in good condition and not overspun they will work just fine. Would he be better off buying some expensive new turbo yes he would but hes on budget. Als oa single turbo setup would be easier to plumb,

Yellowsplash, the TD04HL turbo I got was off a manual 1991 talon, I had the whole car and I pulled the BOV, IC, turbo and manifold, I had not really planned on using it on my 4.0L, thought about using it on my 2.3L ranger, but I grabbed it cause I was crushing the car and it was a freebee...
Rocks, I have used the IHI's before on mild turbo setups, as long as you don't try and overspin the turbo you will have no problem with them. These turbos will not see over 4,000 engine rpm's, if they're lucky they might see about 30 to 35,000 rpm's. They won't see 60 or 70,000 that would cause them to fail. I know I would be better with a garrett, but unless someone is willing to donate a pair to my project, There is not a whole lot I can do at this point. Thanks for ya'll's opinions though guys, I appreciate it. One can never have too much knowledge about an ongoing project:icon_thumby:

Turbocat, using the calculator, I would see about 325hp if I run 14.9psi, you think the 4.0L stock internals ( under 5g rpm)could handle it?? looking for most torque possible...
SVT

How much boost can the stock 4.0L internals (excluding the head gaskets) handle?? Would they handle 15psi given it is tuned right??
