Hello all,
I've been thinking about doing some maintenance on my truck. It's got roughly 120k miles (odometer broke), but it was very well kept by its previous owner's mechanic. Basically, if something "needed" replacing, it was replaced.
My question is about the coolant temperature sensor. I've read that it's a problem, and it can hurt mileage because it still reads low even though it's hot. I went out and looked for it, and I thought I found it by one of the water hoses, right on the front of the engine. Can someone confirm this for me?
I'm mainly doing this to improve mileage, so I was thinking about replacing the spark plugs, maybe the cat, and possibly making an airbox to get cold air from directly under the truck. Anyone think those ideas would be helpful, or does anyone have any more that could help?
Jake
