96, 2.3 hesitation

I have a 1996 2.3 with 195k on the clock that runs great. Today I started noticing that while making turns when I downshift into 2nd gear and releasing the clutch that there is about a 5 second hesitation before the engine/acceleration kicks in. Even if I floor the gas pedal the hesitation or zero acceleration is there. Then It will jerk and have 100 power again. It is only happening when downshifting and coming out of a turn for now. Has anyone had any issue like this? Any input would be appreciated.

Just left turns or just right turns? Motor mounts ok? Put it in gear, engine off, parking brake off, and with the hood up rock the truck forward and backward and see how much the engine moves.
