I recently bought a 95 ranger xlt that had some hack working on it previously. the engine compartment is in disarray.
The A/C system has been removed, which is fine, but I get the feeling that things have been removed that may not have been necessary.
There are vacuum hoses capped off that I can't find a home for and some of the wiring looks questionable. It runs, but the idle pulses and it hesitates at highway speeds.
I ran the Seafoam into the throttle body, following all directions, and it helped some. I also swapped out the tranny from a 95 explorer, since mine was slipping, then reverse went out.
any tips or suggestions?
Also, a less important question: is the radio wiring the same for all years of rangers and explorers? I want to swap one from the local salvage yard and don't want to make multiple trips.
Seats also. What years and models will seamlessly swap?
Finally, how do I remove the rear view mirror without breaking my windshield? I have seen that there is a strange clip involved.
Thanks in advance.
