I have a 95 2.3L ranger 5 speed and the clutch pedal has dropped. I can put my foot behind the pedal and to pull it up level with the brake is at least 1.5-2in. Ive looked everywhere and i think it could be the clutch master cylinder not but im not sure. The clutch and slave cylinder was replaced about a yr ago. I do some time have trouble with going into 1st gear but never reverse so i don't think its the slave cylinder which is what failed last time it wouldn't go into gear.Any suggestions??

It could be the master. Every time I have had one go it spit fluid on my carpet. Take a look up under the dash.

I thoroughly cleaned out, vacuumed, and spot cleaned most of the inside over the weekend. I didn't notice any type of fluid on the carpet. Also the fluid reservoir under the hood is full.
