I bought my tranny this week an it has the 157 tooth bellhousing, I know I need a 50oz 157 tooth flexplate but do I need external weight and to get it balanced?

In post 31 you answered your own question. 50oz flexplate is needed, 157 teeth.

You can buy an aftermarket flywheel that size and with that weight imbalance.

Anybody running the 302/C4 combo, aprox how far did the tranny mount move forward? Building new front suspention and I am not ready to set the motor and tranny.

91 ranger this is just to let you know that the 94 and 95 computers are very picky about the smog equipment and what you delete. not running that smog pump might send a code but you can always have it retuned.

you may not have a problem as well but I just wanted to give you a heads up before you do something so you can investigate the move before you do it.

also I am not trying to discourage you in fact I hope you get it done as I am looking forward to seeing the progress.

Impossible to answer this question until you get the engine and trans in place in the truck.

Ya, it was a shot in the dark. I guess I am just going to have to put them in just to figure that out.
