Getting ready to change out the fuel pump in my 95 reg cab long bed. Does the 95 use the plastic clips on the fuel line connectors at the pump or do I need the coupler tools on this one?

Thanks

Bryan

pump

yes you need the tool if its stock, do your self a favor and unbolt the bed and lift it up at the front or if you have friends that can help just lift it off and set it on end only six bolts in the bed plus the harness plug that is midship under the cab and the 3 filler neck screws in the gas door, if you opt. to just lift the front leave two bolts loose at the back, buy a couple of inchs to allow for the tilting, and also so the bed wont slide back into the bumper, just take it up a little at a time and watch for interferance any where, its not heavy one person can do it, just use some blocks to hold it up, work smart not fast and it will be simple

^^? No need for any tools to remove the fuel lines on the fuel pump.. They are plastic locks and you don't need anything special to remove them, except to be careful not to break them to reuse the lock after. Pretty easy to do..

The new fuel pump should come with new plastic locks. Just rip them old ones off. (After you make sure your new pump has them.)
