just wondering if anyone could describe to me or show me a picture of where the clutch comes through the fire wall. i see on the older models there is a plate that looks like it can be removed that holds the brake booster on it too but cant see where it would be on my 95'. i'm converting my auto to a manual. thanks a bunch.

on the 95+ the master passes through where your curent shifter cable goes through and actually connects into the pedal assembly so make sure you get a pedal assembly from a 95+ and te correct master cylinder with it. The master on the 95+ does not bolt onto the firewall like the older ones but twist locks into the pedal assembly in a square hole and just has a boot that fills the rest of the hole in the firewall. So you will need to remove your shifter cable when you go and do the swap.

thanks for letting me know, i figured i might have to drill a hole there for a second.

went to the junkyard today and was able to pickup that whole assembly, got the pedals installed just need to run the line now

nice work, getting that damn pedal assembly all up in there and mounted is probably the second hardest part of the swap with bleeding the clutch system being the first if you have never done it before.

now some other tips on the swap.
-the clutch position switch, either grab the switch from a junkyard or get a new one, it mounts on the rod of the master cylinder. The wiring is all there tucked up in the driverside with a jumper plug in it, all you have to do is remove the jumper and plug it into the clutch position switch. With this you will also need to splice together two wires under the truck in the automatic transmission plug pack (like 16-pin or something). You will want to splice together the pink and teal/red wire. This is for the park/neutral sensor in the auto tranny which the manual obviously doesn't use because it has the clutch position sensor. So you need to wire these two together to bypass whats nolonger there.

while you are under there you can also wire in the reverse light switch (which you will need to cut off a manual truck, it is a 2 wire switch that plugs into the top cover of the tranny). The wires for it are purple with an orange stripe in the automatic wiring harness.

-make sure you have the manual tranny flywheel bolts and the tin seperator plate for a manual tranny as they are different from the auto ones. The starter may also be different depending on the engine and years.

thank you very much for the help. just got a couple of questions, i just need to make sure that the wires for the neutral switch are in the black plug on the right

and i dont have a clutch position sensor on my master cylinder as you can see.

i thought those were for the cruise control to turn off when you hit the brake if i am talking about the same sensor you are. i believe this is the reverse plug that i broke taking out the engine/transmission. i'm using the m5rd-1 transmission.

the switches to disable the cruise control when the clutch or brake are used are on the pedal/linkage assembly, not on the brake master cylinder.
