Hello, I want to put a 95-96 explorer front diff in my 99 ranger. Another wheel bearing has gone out, I dont want the pvh nonsense any more as it gives me trouble at times. I have hub bearings and axles out of a 2000 ranger to get rid of the pvh but I also want to put a lunchbox locker in the front and want to covert the center axle disconnect of the explorer diff to manual control. All that said, with a locker (or even a spool) I can have regular three (4) wheeldrive with the lsd in the rear. Then pull a lever if I need true four wheel drive. My searching has yielded no results. Im not doing anything extreme but I am often alone outside of cell phone coverage and although I have a front winch, theres not always something to hook to. My truck is a 1999 super cab 4.0 5 speed with 31" tires and 4.10 gears. Thank you.

Ok, so go do it. It shouldn't be that hard.

Best response ever, I about spit out my beer. :icon_rofl:
