I need to replace my intake gasket(s). I have heard bad things about the felpro intake gaskets. I heard that they are cork instead of rubber. The only other gasket I can find is Victor gaskets. They do not list a material however.

What gasket should I get and where can I get it? What material also?

Also. I have it torn down right now. I am just thinking is it worth it to take the heads off and replace the head gasket as well?

I usually go by the "if it ain't broke don't fix it rule" but since I am already this far I was wondering whether it was worth the extra cash my own labor to replace the head gasket.

Thanks

Upper or lower?

Also, no, it the head gaskets are giving you issues don't touch them.

Wouldn't needing the lower mean the upper is needed too?

I second the head gasket statement. It can only cause problems.

Anyway, I did some research into the lower gasket and Fel-Pro is the only company offering a version of the gasket as spec-ed by ford in a TSB on leaking lower intakes...

It's
Fel-Pro - Intake Manifold Gasket Set

Part # MS94682-1

That "-1" on the end is important. It's the revised part...

Is the felpro gasket you listed naked of cork? I have heard allot of bad things about them.

Also what is a TSB?

No cork that I saw. It does require some sealant in the corners which I don't think came with mine....

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin

I tried to re-find the whole thing, but I can't. My Google-fu is failing me tonight...
