95 4.0 if I drive it so it reaches full operating temp and then make a relatively quick stop (truck is turned off but never really cools, tonight it was the icecream shop for example), when I restart it's rough/chugs. A good rev usually gets everything back to normal. Plugs/wires/fuelfilter/airfilter all within last 10,000 miles, oil is changed every 3000. :dunno: It really has not been a problem, more of an annoyance.

Find your fuel pressure regulator, it should be on the top of the motor with fuel line going into and out of it. It will also have a vacuum line. Pull the vacuum line off and see if it is wet with raw fuel on the inside.

Your problem sounds VERY similar to a bad FPR.

have you checked to see if it is throwing a code, mine would run rich on occasions and i pulled the codes and it was a bad coolent temp sensor, it was reading -40 all the time
