all 93+ ranger axles are the same width, so the spring perches will be in the right spot. even the 92 and down axles will bolt on, your springs will just be slightly crooked.
i seem to remember a post quite a while ago where someone had a pre-92 axle under his gen 3. he had a picture from the back and the springs were leaning in slightly (the difference wasnt much).
maybe there was something else going on, it was quite a bit ago...the memory gets foggy
b2 to ranger is the difference in spring perches, but can be forced to bold up, but gen 1 to gen 4 are the same ranger wise, as far as spring perch width goes
thanks..now only if i can get the guy that owns the salvage yard to stop dicking me around..he has the axle underneath a 97 xlt and keeps trying to sell me the whole truck(which has been totaled in the front)for 900 dollars.hes only asking 150 for the entire assembly from drum to drum.
