Starter
Before you go out and spend about $120 for another starter Try getting just the brushes, pull starter out, Remove the long 8mm bolts that hold the housing together, When you remove the plate on the back end of it the brushes are right there and pretty self explanatory about replacing them, while you have it opened, pull out the armature and clean out the inside of the housing where the armature fits into,, I had issuses with mine and it seems that road grime and oil, grease, etc. builds up in the inside of the starter housing and at times it can prevent the brushes from making contact like they need to, Also the end of the armature where the brushes make contact, get some emery cloth and clean the dark looking build up until the copper is nice bright and shiny again, then reassemble, you will need either another someone to help you open the brushes and get them down over the armature, Or I used a 3/4' thin wall socket, I opened the brushes and push the socket in the middle of brushes, then when your ready you can put brushes down over armature and the socket shopuld be close to same size as armature so the brushes should just slip from socket to down over armature, and unless there is something else really wrong thats a $5 and some time fix instead of $120
