'94 rear drum brake stuck...

Got it!

After taking off the "not stuck" passenger side wheel and noting that it did indeed turn freely, I played with the star adjuster and saw how everything worked. I then turned my attention to the other rear wheel-- the one that wouldn't budge. backed off the adjuster and it's free! Hell yeah.

So now that I've backed off the adjuster on both wheels, do I need to do anything to make them work properly? Or will the auto-adjust sort things out?

Thanks for all your help. This is the first time I've messed with brakes...not so intimidating now that I've been through this 'lil ordeal.

Haha........I've been readin this post and was wondering if you were going to try that. The shoes were just too tight and needed to be loosened....lol

Glad to hear you got it off.

make sure the adjusters are in the right place..... they should never adjust theirselves to the point that you can't move.

Be careful this doesn't happen again. I had a 3 month war with my brakes. In the end the whole issue was that my e-brake cables seized. I would fix them, they would work for about a week, and then it would be the same old shit. If it continues, its probably your e0brake cables.
