Hello Ranger fans ..... OK, I've looked through the myriad of 'Ranger stalling' threads but I do not see one that specifically addresses my issue so, I'm gonna start a new thread. Hopefully, we can get to the bottom of this issue.
I have a '94 4.0 v6. I've owned this thing for a bit over a month; put just over a 1000 miles on it. It has been running great until recently. The truck is now fairly consistently stalling upon braking/deceleration. It will occasionally stall if I let it idle for a couple of minutes. RPM's drop and then it stalls. The vehicle starts up and runs fine otherwise.
Replaced plugs, wires and air filter. Cleaned ICM. Cleaned out air filter box. Need to clean MAF sensor but it doesn't look bad. I need the security torx bit to take the MAF sensor off; gonna do that today.
I am starting this thread to solicit suggestions and past experiences of others to help narrow down the issues. This is kinda driving me crazy. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
