I am not quite sure what to call it, but the rubber bushings are shot. Can I buy new bushings, or should I replace the entire device?

Anything would be appreciated!

Tim

You need a piece that looks like the picture below? Rockauto has them. Didn't check the local stores.

thanks franklin2, I think the bars are fine (except the rust on them). I was thinking of just the rubber bushings or maybe even replace the whole thing.

would something like this work for bushings?

or this for all new?

I dont know what the security check thing is above, if you click it, it takes you to carid.com

You just need a rubber / polycarbonate / "other" bushing to fill up the gap between the sway bar mount, and the sway bar. With sway bars it isn't all that critical save for maybe beating it on a race course.... in a pickup, I doubt you'd ever be able to tell that the material was without crawling under the truck an looking at it. Certainly not on a twin-I beam.....

Those are the bushings you need? They come already installed in the bar and are like $3.00 each on rockauto. That same piece above is $14.00 at autozone. They have some separate bushings that go somewhere also.
