My 94 Ranger's fuel gauge has stopped reading. The gauge sits on empty at all times. Just wondering if anyone has an idea what the problem is? I don't know if it is the "Fuel Tank Sending Unit" or maybe something else. The fuse is good, first thing I checked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

probably the sending unit, there are tests that can be done I am sure..

Agreed with the float comment. Mine went AWOL (not just punctured) on the '93. Had to replace.

Here's how to check (sorta easy depending on the condition of your truck):

1) Remove bed
2) Remove fuel pump/sending unit (clean debris from area before removing to avoid contaminating tank)
3) with key on "On" position, manually move the sending arm . . . if it moves the needle on the Instrument Panel, then you know your float is no longer doing it's job. Otherwise, it could be the sender's electronics, or something in the trucks electrical system (guage, computer, wiring, etc.).

Thanks for the advice, been gone all weekend. I'll try and see if it is the float. Appreciate the help.

Ya. U can buy just the float, it clips onto the sending unit. The stealerships have them for 10 or 15 bucks or so.
