I just volunteered to replace my friend's busted timing belt. I have a Bronco2 with a chain, so the Ranger is a little new to me. On the 94 Ranger camshaft sprocket there is a painted-on mark on one of the teeth and another painted-on mark on the inner timing belt cover. I assumed these were the marks to line up, I didn't see any of the diamond shapes or triangle shaped marks that are mentioned in the Haynes manual, but I didn't look to hard either. Once we buttoned her up she barely started - obviously the timing is off. Anyone ever done the '94 and can tell me what I've done wrong?
