I just got a set of auto hubs from a friend and now my 4 x 4 works correctly. my question is can these be engaged while driving, if so up to what speed is safe. I just dont want to ruin them. I am just hoping I can get through winter and then get some manuals. Any suggestions on how to get more life from them wold be greatful.

I dont have the manual so this is why I am asking this question. And no one that has read this can give me some advise.
Thanks for the help.

You can engage 4hi up to 45 mph I believe. In less you need to go into 4low in which case you need to be stopped with the transmission in neutral. If its a 5spd you may have to have the cluch depressed. Hopefully those autos will get you through the winter and get a set of manuals come summer time. They are so much more reliable.
