My 1994 Ranger A/C is not working properly. The fan is not blowing at all or very little. I don't feel or hear any difference from low to high. Where is the fan located and how do I test the switch? Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Fan is under the hood on the passenger side firewall.

You need to determine if it is blowing at all, verses very little. Blowing on low but not high, could be the fan resister.

I have determined it is not blowing at all. One side of the plug going to the fan motor has power the other side does not when the fan switch is on high.

Thanks

OK found info on how to test the motor and it looks bad. I have another on order that will be ready for pick up tomorrow morning around ten. I'll update then.

My fan motor was not bad. I re tested it this morning and it works fine. There is no air coming from the vents from the fan. I removed the filter on the firewall and that did not help. Any ideas from you guys? It's going to be 108 degrees this Monday.

Might be the switch itself. Had a similar problem recently on a different car and it was a fusible link in the wiring harness that blew. Have you checked all the fuses?

The fan runs fine on all four speeds. The air does not come out of the vents.

Thank you,

Cable could be off of the panel that directs the heat, or it could be the blend door.

The heat direct door works fine. I will look for the blend door???

Thanks so much,

Just thought of the blend door but someone already said it lol.
