needing some help with the wiring on a 95 5.0 to a 94 ranger

What is the set up you are using? fuel inj ,carb ect?

Well what are you wanting? You need to put more info in your posts.

The best way to go is to get a wiring diagram for that year mustang. I went to ebay because the usual spot where I get them didn't have any in stock.

Otherwise, your question is pretty, um, vast.

Narrow it down for us to help you.

i have the evtm's coming and i have a manual from harwood performance but it does not apply to my application..
im really trying to just make the proper connections to the ranger harness.

Red goes to positive. Black is ground.

One our really old engineers always said "Black goes to Black, White goes to
White and Green goes any where". That's my limit of wiring skills also.
I understand his problems. Once he gets the right diagrams in front of him it might really help.

the guys would like to give you some 'cut & dry(ied) answers', but you may as well find some detailed wiring diagrams of both years vehicles so you'll know what they're talking about, + you'll figure out a lot ur-self:headbang: take the diagrams & pick something easy to re-wire, like the O2 sensor(figure that out first), then try the engine temperature sensor next, etc. And get a big bottle of Jack D--er-ah Tylenol xtra strength, like I did:icon_rofl:

i guess im just trippin!!! just dont want to screw anything up. my patients are running kinda thin.... i keep having to walk away from it!:icon_confused:

Your biggest problem is a '95 Stang will be an OBD-2 setup, where as a '94 Ranger isn't. It's pretty hellish, trust me. I went through the same scenario - OBD-2 Explorer into a '94 Ranger. There's alot to deal with. Long story short, you're probably going to have an always-on check engine light.

Get some good, complete wiring diagrams and start with the truly NECESSARY components first. I'm sad to see you going with a carb, but it will save on the headaches building it. You'll just have the headache of a carb to deal with later instead.

Wiring is next on my 94 splash, 4v carbed 289, c4.
Just fixin to put a 95 5.0 front pulley system on it tomorrow. This should take care of my alternator wiring and let me use my old power steering pump and lines.
Wondering about the wiring myself. Figured I would go with an add on electronic pick up in the point distributor for easier wiring.
I know I will be covering the check engine light up, but I am ok with that.
