I got a couple of flexing pics today, but I don't think that's the limit on how far she'll stretch. But it's the best I could do with the time I had. As for future mods, I've been thinking real hard about a v8 swap lately...
Yeah my problem right now is gearing. The stock 3.73's struggle a bit, but can you ever have enough horsepower? That swap is a while in the future.
On a side note, I've been thinking about lockers. They would be super helpful in off roading, but I want to swap out my 8.8 for an explorer 8.8 with discs. Just wondering what are your thoughts on a Lincoln locker for my current 8.8, just until I get an explorer 8.8?
Yeah some better gearing will make it feel much better. 4.88's will work well with the 4.0 and 35's.
If you do weld the rear end, just be prepared to eat tires and get used to them barking and squealing. You could also break and axle shaft if you're not careful.
A 31 spline 8.8 with discs would be a nice upgrade
