94 Ranger 4.0l engine turning off

your ECU could even be bad... hate to be the guy to say it, but i've seen it happen.

i'd check wires... ain't there a way to test the wires coming to the MAF? w/ a ohms meter or volt meter or something???

There are resistance specs. If you test it from the PCM connector and if every thing comes up right it's the computer. The other way to do it is disconnect both ends and do a simple resistance test.

I've seen them be bad right out of the box as well. Especially parts store ones.

tell me about it... i got one from autozone that was bad... :annoyed: got my money back after arguing w/ them... they wanted me to just wait for another one.... :icon_confused:

I'll try to test, or take it back to autozone and ask for a different one.

Could the throttle body be a cause of my issues?

May have found problem

I used a multimeter and probed the connector for the MAF sensor and it seems that the wiring is bad. How do I replace the wiring? and where could I get a replacement cable?
