what is the correct voltage reading for a 94 2.3l ranger?

I'm at .98 volts, but it doesn't seem right, I've tried setting idle at 750 rpm with the IAC disconnected, and that doesn't seem right either.

Am i reading the TECH article on this site correct that it should be .91 at idle?

It seems like No one has stepped up yet so..

can I ask what is the issue ur having? I understand it's not quite a perfect world in the realm of voltage at the TPS. My experience has been primarily with the 2.9 EECIV systems..and they sell slotted tps sensors, some have slotted their own with a Dremel to reach an "optimum" setting according to the "book" so I guess I'm curious as to why your worried over an "slightly-out of-adjustment-setting"..Is it running ok?

In my limited experience in tuning my well-running 2.9L..it never was quite in the groove..but did a great job...so

what gives? Why would you want to tweak this setting unless ur having issues?..

With my "limited" experience with an EECIV system I would set it to what I LIKE..not ncecessaily what the book recommends...and "forget it". as long as the idle is stable and your performance is in the realm of acceptability..

surging idle and rough idle, not consistent. most all electrical components replaced, is a new tps. just looking for a range, this truck made it well over 250k with original electrical components, as best as i can tell as i replaced parts when problems started showing up.

A quick comment..

It seems like the truck has done well for you ..if u've enjoyed that many miles..

Have you considered to check the basic engine to see how healthy it still is?. Basically by checking compression, including a leak-down test. how is oil consumption, blow-by etc?.

Have any codes popped up?...I assume so since you have changed some parts. How is your vacuum system?..

In my limited experience with EECIV systems, older siring also can cause problematic issues..or at least the connectors for each sensor..

I have actually used the "silver paste" on a few connections to solve intermittent connection issues..after cleaning and re-cleaning some.

I am a fan of Genuine Ford components even old ones till they fail totally. (but still keep them for spares) When I sold my 88 B2 it had a set of original relays for EEC and fuel..after a few failing "aftermarket" were used...

Hang in there..
