last nov i re ringed my motor.... i drove it thru the winter no prob at all... now that its getting warmer out the motor is loosing power... but its only happing when it gets warm .. in the morn it starts up and runs perfect and seems to have more get up and go... but as it gets warm it use's more rpm's to get up to speed and takes longer to accelerate... ive done a tune up and everthing in that matter......... now i had to rebuild the motor because the head gasket went between the cyclender head and the water jacket so i did a re ringkit ..... but i was told because of all the anti freez that i burned it might of effected me 02's but becasue it was winter i didnt notice it as much so just woundering if i could get some input .......... the motor has 4600 miles on it and the truck has 122000.... And NO check engin lights and about 10mpg

was the block still in factory specs when u re ringed it, if not u shoulda got it honed out as little as u could and ran the right size rings

If your problem was the new rings you should have bunches of blowby. I think I'd look to other lectronic devices that might control the timing of the engine.
Big JIm

i just honed it and put new standard size rings...... like i said it runs good when u first start it up in the morn ...... but i kno that it takes a min or 2 for the o 2 senors to turn on after start up so i was woundering it it was the o2's ....

if the cylinder was JUST outside of spec it would have symptoms like u have, as the engine warms up and expands slightly the compression drops, and causes it to run like shit, check for blowby when the engine is warm

the compression is fine from hot to cold not really any change if i get on the truck after it gets to about 40 mph and i punch it it will go and if i get on it hard and pull up to a light and take off its perfect no prob so it seems like when i baby it it worse
