Just finished replacing the head gaskets and other gaskets along the way on my 94 4L and once I got everything put back together I can't seem to get it to hold an idle. Starts up and then dies immediately unless stepping on the gas. I am thinking its mostly likely a fuel pressure, MAF or IAC. Does this sound like the correct route to start checking?

Did the 50/50 test and still doesn't start so I guess it's a fuel issue. I can smell gas when trying to start, does that indicate anything?

I had an issue with my 94' not idling. I replaced many parts and finally what fixed it for me was taking the intake off and replacing the fuel injector gaskets and intake gaskets. It still idles low but it doesn't stumble anymore.

The RTV I had placed on the front/back of the the lower intake gasket ended up being the issue. Didn't place enough to create a seal and had a really bad leak. Fixed that and it started right up no problem.
