94 b4000 axle swap/offroad build

HHHmmm 37's are the same price as 39.5's ??? yummy

might need to start lookin for 60's for when the 1/2er's let go

one of the guys i wheel with has an eddie bauer ex (2000ish) with an eb 44 front and the stock 8.8 rear on 39s and he doesnt have any problems that i know of. and he's got a 302 in there as well

i'll most likely give it a shot with what i got. but first things first GEARS.

apparentely tonight i caught air with the old girl. really didnt feel like it, i was cruzing down a rough azz road to give my brother a hand with his broke azz cherokee and i came thru a really bad dip in the road he said there was easily a foot of air under the tire's. gonna go back and hit the same spot sometime this time armed with a camera. if she really did come off the ground i gotta say she lands very nicely. never even spilled my pop!

thatd be sick... hopfully your camera has the feature that you click once and it takes like 25 pictures? that way you jump once mucho safer lol plus you always get the highest up picture to keep

the dana 30s worked great if i coulda kept wheel bearings in the darn thing's the first axle pinion ended up trashed but that was operator error of never fixing it when it showed a little play. i feel much more confident with the 44 but i have came across a couple situations where the width was an issue, nothing a chainsaw or axe couldnt resolve.

Wish I could find the videos of you giving your D30 hell, the ones of you going through the mud and there being hidden fallin trees and what not. I love watching homemade mudding/offroading videos.

should have a BIG photo update soon. making alot of progress on the truck this past week. gettin her ready for a car show this weekend our club will be there in full force

soon aint good enough. we want the pics now

bAAmm.

moved fire extinguisher so i can move my seat forward again. it was mounted behind the shifter.

painted the highlift red. it's so i can remember where it is for when i do eventually need it. the only thing i have ever had to use it for was repositioning my spring which is permenantly solved now. other then that the suspension droops too much to use it to change a tire. (and also noticable in this pic i repainted the wheel's)

fabbed an upper pivot for my old tire carrier. The 37 look's HUGE on there. now i'm gonna need to move my reverse lights as they seem to focous on the tire.

SHAVED TAIL LIGHTS!!!! i'm not very good at body work but i did my best. it was pretty hard to make fillers and make them contour to existing body damage. and then to make the new paint match the existing scratched paint was a pita. i ended up sanding it with 1000 grit after i cleared it to give it a similar look. once it gets a couple coats of wax and then mud it should blend in just fine haha

Seeing how big the tire is, I would just throw it in the bed.

it took up way too much room in the box. i didnt have room for anything and it would often find its way to being strapped onto the toneau cover. which makes it a real bear to get into the box. it will have to do. for those that dont recall why i shaved the tail light's

gotta love tryin to keep busted taillights legal, and yes the new ones are legal as there is no rules on visability from the side nor is there actually a visability at footage (headlights must be visable at 500 or 1000 feet.)

altho it's a chevy it was pretty cool truck for being just a small garage build. alot of creativity went into this truck right down to the flooring and the toneau cover latch's

It is safe to say that she is built not bought.

My gf says that I cant put a highlift jack in the side of my bed like you have done. But I just love how it works plus helps keeps space in the bed too. First I need to get one though.
