Parts of the original air intake are missing on this truck.
The intake behind the front grill, the hose connection and vacuum motor/ damper that diverts the hot air off the manifold is also missing.
Basically, all I have is the big rubber tube going from the top of the air cleaner box into the throttle body. The vacuum hose connections on the top of the vacuum filter box are also disconnected.
I'm not a big believer in bolt on horsepower, K&N whatever. It just seems to me the original setup was pretty well-designed.
My questions are;
Does this affect performance, and or gas mileage?
Should I put it back together as original?
Or just leave it as is?
