1994 Ranger 4.0l didn't have a Cam sensor/synchronizer, unless it was sold in Calif in 1994, it had an oil pump drive instead, in the same hole
So if you have a later model 4.0l engine in your 1994 that has a cam synchronizer then the cam synchro is not need by the 1994 computer so no wires would be there for hooking it up
You can leave it as is or swap it out and use the oil pump drive only, found in the 1994 4.0l block
Ok. Sounds good. I was putting a clutch in my truck when I noticed that the synchro had no connector to it. I thought it ‘had’ to have this to run. 09/1994 was build date. So everything I read said so also. Needles to say I was a little freaked out by this. But thanks for your answer. Great group.
