So I was messing around a couple days ago in my truck and drove off a little foot tall ledge going pretty fast. Didn't think much of it until I go to stop and the idle stays at like 2.5k.
So I thought maybe a sensor came unplugged, but Ive unplugged and replugged every sensor I can see with no change. The only one that makes a difference while the motor running is the MAF so I went to autozone and replaced it in the parking lot with no effect, so I got a refund.
Everyone else Ive talked to points to a vacuum leak. So Ive taken brake cleaner and sprayed down every vacuum tube I can see with the motor running, but I don't notice any idle change.
Another thing Ive checked is If the butterfly is closing all the way and it is, so its not a throttle cable.
My neighbor was telling me I can jump wires to a test box to get the check engine light to flash codes. I cant seem to find on the internet EXACTLY how to do this. Does anybody have a link to this info?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
