Good morning. I am new here. I have a very clean Arizona 1983 Ford Ranger 2.0. It is high mileage with a very noisy top end. I have scoured this site and found lots of useful information including the information on the Lima engines. There is just one major piece I am still not sure of. There is a 1994 Ranger 2.3 that I would like to snag as a replacement for the 1983 2.0 and I have referenced the above mention article on this forum, super job by the way, regarding the accommodation for the distributor and still have a question regarding this swap involving the distributor. Even though there is the hole for the distributor in the 94 2.3 block for the distributor does it have the drive gear and will the 83 2.0 distributor bolt in and function??? Also will the intake and exhaust manifolds bolt up from the 83 2.0 to the 94 2.3? Thanks Jon

Unfortunately the distributor won't fit with the fuel injection intake manifold, and your old intake manifold won't bolt up to the new head, but your 2.0L head will bolt up to the 2.3L block and should solve some of the issues.
