Seems a common Ranger issue,,, wipers work only on high, and when turned off they do not cycle through and rest correctly. This 93 Splash does all that,,,, replaced steering column multi-switch,,,, have new motor assembly,,,, did not install it, but connected it ,,,,it works the same as one in truck,,, high only,,,,, No relays in electric dist. box next to battery,,, no relay on steering column,, or nearby,,,,,,,,,,, ???? where is a relay or control module for a 93 Splash ??????

Inspect the wires that go into the multifunction switch. It's common for the small plastic tabs that hold the wires into the hard shell to break. This lets the wire end move away from the switch. If you do find loose wires at the switch you can replace just the hard shell connector without cutting into any wires.
The wiper governor is under the dash near the center of the dash.

So,,,, it seems the module may be ok,,,, my mechanic friend did some snooping around, found the module, it was sort of above the brake and gas pedal,,,, he pushed on wires of connector,,, and the wipers worked like they should,,, so the wires somehow worked out of connector I guess,,,,,,,,,, his fix may last forever,, or a few days,,,, will see.
