93 Ranger fuel pump not working.

I have a 93 ranger with 3.0 and it has sat for a while with little to no gas. It will turn over fine but not getting any gas. I can feel the relay clicking. I cannot hear the fuel pump running. I can put a little bit of gas in the intake and it will fire up and die after it runs out. Is there anything that can keep the pump from kicking on? Is there any way I can check the wires with a test light at the pump to make sure it is getting power. Thanks in advance.

First check fuse #16

Then you have to get at the harness that plugs into the fuel pump. You can drop the tank or remove the bed. (I removed my bed 9 bolts, including the fuel filler and one connection for the lights out back)

If I'm correct (I may not be) then the back wire is ground and the pink/black wire should be power to the pump. I'm looking at the wiring diagram found at autozone.com.

You forgot one thing......check the inertia switch and make sure it isn't tripped before diagnosing a bad fuel pump and taking the bed off.

I checked the inertia switch and its good. So I will be pulling my bed off this weekend. Thanks.
