I have a 93 ranger 4.0 I got a salvage yard motor .... the book says to mark the flywheel and crank before taking it off.. my truck is a 5 speed the salvage yard motor is a automatic... does it matter how the flywheel goes on.... cuz I can't mark it

No need to worry about it. It's just good practice to mark it, and the driveshaft flanges before taking them apart, but they will go on without marking them.

Make sure to install a pilot bearing in the new engine, an automatic doesn't use one.

Thanx this is my 1st ranger I have a new clutch kit n it came with a bearing... thanks for the help
