93 Ranger 4wd problem

I just purchased a 4wd 1993 ranger with the automatic transfercase selector and it has problems.

Are the 4wd lights supposed to turn on when you turn the key on? Mine do not do that. Also i tested the module and the light flashes like it should so i guess it is another problem. I checked all the fuses and they were fine.

My next question is how should the motor work? I press the buttons on the dash and im not getting anything. the motor doesnt make any noises and nothing lights up on the dash. Where should i go from here with it?
