283 crank ain't goin in a 350 block without bearing sleeves.

There were special bearing shells specifically for this purpose: TRW MS3110P, but it was 35 years ago that I was doing this kind of thing; 283s were more common then.

Nope, stock motor in early 60s GMC C10; I believe with 3 on tree behind it.

702 V12 is 2 - 351 V-6s molded together. There's one in a rod in Calgary area; he's been to a couple shows.

The >1k lbs of the 534 kept me away; and then there was the weight of transmission which would bolt up.

I always thought it would be cool to get 2 Aussie I-6 sohc heads and make a v-12 out of them.

Ok bobby, ill bite. I consider myself pretty knowing of what engines have/are out there, but WTF is a 302 mopar? A bored 4.7L?

EDIT

Actually, i think i remember hearing about those, similar to the chevy 302 in that it was born to meet SCCA(?) Cubic inch rules in the late 60s/early 70s ran in challengers? Very few were built though. Or am i totally wrong?

surprised.

well...its like a 304.633 or something so really a 305...but firmly in the 5.0 club.. super castings of head and block....fuggin killer setups.

essentially destroked 340.....as if a 340 wasnt ripping enough:icon_surprised:

at one time i was heavily into the 340's....had several run up/run down blocks. in 87, i built an offset 400 stroker...(closer to 410ish)

total fuking monster...

What little bit ive screwed with mopars theyve all been 360s and 440s. Seems like when i was about 10 my grandpa had a 71(?) Demon with a 340. I remember it was fast, or seemed to be to a kid.

Engine is built 425hp 400lb-ft torque at the fly wheel think im gonna have to upgrade the rear end the stock 8.8 i dont think will be able to handle that much power, any one know how much fab work it will take for a 9 inch to work?
