Good morning everyone!
I have an ongoing battle with my 93 ranger 3.0
It has an idle issue where temperature independant it sometimes idles at appox. 1200 to as high as 1500rpm and other times it barely runs at 600 to 700 rpm. At the low speed it misses and sounds like a bucket of bolts.
I suspect the IAC and have removed/cleaned and lubed it (WD40), which helped somewhat. At the corrrect rpm it purrs like a kitten. It also acts like the ignition timming is retarded where it lacks power and sucks gas like a 460.
no pings knocks or (squeaks as in a cam position sensor). I don't have money like Rockefeller and need to get the repairs done so I can stop throwing money at it.
Any Ideas ?
