hello all,

i was curious on my 93 ranger if the automatic with tach guage will work on a manual no tach truck?

my fuel guge is not working and thinking about swapping the guages and id like to have a tach tbh

I believe it should work. I don't remember what you have to do if switching between 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder models. Might need to add an adapter module to get the correct number of pulses.

If they are like the Fseries in that generation youll need either a 92 or 93 cluster, or 93-94 cluster for some reason they group them in two year groups. Id aim for a 93 cluster.

The break in those is mid '92 for the clusters, it's been too long, I don't remember the 4 colors of the circuit boards...

V6 and 4 cylinder doesn't matter, I don't remember if 4L's had lower reading tach's than others...

Other than that should be a simple bolt in, hardest part is getting the speedo cable off the back of the speedo...

Oh and you can use your stock speedo/odo, just take the screen off then pry out the outer gauges by the face plates carefully until you get to the speedo which will just fall out...
