93/94 4.0 Water pump pulley on a '91

Can anyone tell me if a 93/94 water pump pulley on a 1991 explorer engine will work? I'm fed up with trying to get the fan and clutch off of my old water pump and I'm willing to replace them both but I can't find a replacement pulley anywhere. The Dorman pulley for the 94's is in stock everywhere though.

The later pulley will work but won't change the way the fan clutch attaches to the water pump...

The threads for the fan clutch are on the pump hub..

The difference in the pulley is that the 93-94 pulley has a flange on the rear edge to keep the belt from slipping off the back of the pulley during belt installation...

All 4.0 water pumps have a threaded on fan clutch, from 1990-1/2 through end of production in 2000.
And 4.0SOHC engines use the same fan clutch mounting method...

So if you are looking to get away from a threaded on fan clutch you had best learn to accept disappointment.

Thanks for the help. I did end up buying the dorman pulley and it has worked fine for 110 miles now along with a brand new water pump, fan, and fan clutch. The complete old assembly is in the trash.
