a step by step is helpful, but not really absolutely necessary.
3.0s are a basic engine and easy to work on & swap.
first, get some tape and label everything. put labels on each side of connectors. and vacuum lines, and heater hoses.
the harness and connectors at the rear of the engine are hard to reach, pay attention to where the brackets attach.
a few bolts are difficult to get a clear path to, like the pass side exhaust.
the top bell housing bolts are accessed by using a long extension and starting at the rear of the transmission & going over the top.
pull the radiator, put plywood against the condenser.
remove ac and ps brackets and push them to the side.
support the transmission
make sure the hoist goes high enough
remove PCM connector, leave harness on the engine, remove it from the transmission.
I get a couple bolts slightly longer than the bell housing bolts and cut the heads off. put one in each side to guide the tranny. grind flats to accept a wrench helps.
basically find & label everything that touches the engine. go slow and deal with whatever you missed.
