I know the 92 rear is shorter but will it fit without any mods? Also will my 235 tires fit without any chub rub? Thanks

It's a direct bolt-in, I put a 87 Bronco II 7.5 LS with 3.73's in my Son's 93, he has 15x8 wheels with 275/60 tires, and no problems:

a 1992 (or earlier ranger rear) is 2" narrower drum-to-drum than a 1993-up Ranger axle.

I'd hate giving up track width.

YES, this is true........me personally would rather have a wider tire inside the wheelwell than 2" of waste by the axle length:icon_twisted:.......if it wasn't so costly to narrow a rearend, I'd narrow mine by 16" on my current build, as it's easier to find 12" wide wheels reversed than it is to find em offset to the inside.

a wheel with less backspacing to widen the track places FAR more stress
on the axle shaft and axle bearing than using the wider axle.

wheel spacers have the same undesireable effect.

No to mention they are weak point themselves.

This truck is used for loading scrap and driving to work. It is a beater. I just now after 5000 miles have tires that are all the same size. (but still two differant brands:dunno:) As long as it will fit thats all that I care about. :icon_cheers:
